Your adventure in Japan begins. Upon arrival a Yupima representative will greet you and assist with your transfer to your centrally located hotel in Tokyo. Take the rest of the day to unwind and recover from the flight. Your hotel is located in a lively area, with plenty of shops and local restaurants just a short walk away.

Day 1

Welcome to Japan – Arrival in Tokyo

Meet your local guide after breakfast for a full-day exploration of Tokyo’s contrasts — from ancient shrines to futuristic neighborhoods. Highlights include:

• Meiji Shrine

• Asakusa and the iconic Senso-ji Temple

• Other hidden gems that your guide will love to share with you

Today is yours to enjoy at your own pace. You can choose to explore Tokyo’s neighborhoods, visit some of the numerous museums, or go on a shopping spree.

Day 3

Tokyo Free Day

Today, head toward the serene mountain town of Hakone. Enjoy a scenic train ride and check in to your peaceful accommodation. Your guide will unveil for you the better spots to get a great view on Mt Fuji (depending on the weather conditions), outdoor activities or a more relaxed exploration using different means of transportation: lake cruise, ropeway etc.. according to your pace and interests.

Day 4

Travel to Hakone

Nature and Majestic Mt Fuji

After breakfast, continue your journey toward Kyoto — Japan’s cultural heart. Once you arrive and settle into your hotel, enjoy an orientation walk with your guide through some of the main historical districts of the Ancient Capital. Evening suggestion: Try Kyoto-style izakaya dining or explore the lantern-lit alleyways of Pontocho.

Day 5

Kyoto Bound

Today is flexible: choose one of the following day trips, each offering a unique glimpse into Japan’s regional charm. After an early wake up to visit Fushimi Inari Shrine and its thousands of torii gates, your guide will accompany you whichever option you choose:

Option A: Osaka
Vibrant street food, neon lights, and Osaka Castle. Don't miss Kuromon Market and Dotombori!

Option B: Nara
A peaceful day among sacred deer, Todai-ji’s Great Buddha, and ancient temple grounds.

Option C: Himeji
Explore Japan’s most spectacular original castle and the nearby traditional Kokoen Garden.

Day Trip from Kyoto

Kyoto Highlights

Check out and head to Kansai International Airport (KIX). If flying out of Tokyo, we can also assist in arranging return transport via Shinkansen.
